The unique, cityscape set design that Estonia will be using at the Eurovision Song Contest this week is one of the most interesting of the event and has become the envy of the competition's other participants, ERR production team claims.
Estonian signer Getter Jaani will be performing her upbeat, pumping track "Rockefeller Street" amid an artistic mock-up of a city.
"Our background graphic, where the city moves, is done really well – it's one of the most impressive of the contest," Mart Normet, director of entertainment programming for ETV, told uudised.err.ee.
Normet praised the German set builders, who made the stage exactly to the specifications set out by ETV. The set was designed by illustrator Karmo Ruusmaa based on a concept by ETV Executive Producer Rene Vilbre.
The head of the Estonian delegation, Heidy Purga, echoed Normet's assessment of set design superiority, saying that organizers had told her that other teams were envious.
The Estonian entry will be performed in the contest's second semifinal, which will be held on May 12.
