Representatives of the Gloria Jean‘s Coffees, are exploring Lithuania’s market and will come to Vilnius to look for business partners. Having more than 1,000 coffee houses in 39 countries, representatives of the Australian brand will meet potential franchise buyers in the open contacts fair Brand 4 Baltic on 28 , Lrt.lt portal reported on 27 April.
"Possible entrance of these well-known brands into the Lithuanian market has been publicly discussed a few times already, and Gloria Jean‘s Coffees could become the first real player in this market. In the last few years the take away coffee become very popular in Lithuania, so the brand which has its history and international name is expected to enter the country market easily and will compete with the main local brands," claims Severinas Žilinskis the director of Lithuanian franchise centre.
"The representatives of Gloria Jean‘s Coffees are planning to meet possible Lithuanian partners – franchise buyers, for whom they could pass their experience, knowledge and tools in developing this brand in Lithuania."
Ilja Malkin, director of a strategic development and project management consultancy company, claims that history of this coffee house chain is a good example of a successful business development on franchise basis.
"Three decades ago, in 1979, a family business was established in a small souvenir shop and later became a chain of franchise, spreading in all continents. Currently Gloria Jean‘s Coffees is one of the biggest coffee house chain in Australia and North America, also planning faster expansion in Europe," claims Malkin.
The Gloria Jean‘s Coffees brand is owned by the Australians began its development by franchise in 1997. Currently this coffee house is extended from Peru and USA to Fiji and Korea. The Gloria Jean‘s Coffees in Europe could be found in Ireland, Czech Republic, Greece, Cyprus, Romania and Ukraine.
