Due to a lack of reliable local partners in the county, plans to enter the Indian market by the Lithuanian "Čili Holdings" have failed.

Although the businessmen have a great desire to expand their business in India, it is a difficult task to find someone to work with, newspaper Verslo Zinios wrote on April 26.

Čili Holdings revealed their plans to enter the Indian market with their chain restaurants in 2009. The first restaurants of Čili pica in India were planned to be opened last year. The expansion in India was planned by franchise, but no Čili pica restaurants have been opened in the country.

Dainius Kalina, Čili Holdings' Chairperson of the Board, says they got stuck in India as they did not succeed in finding reliable local partners.

Although the plans for India have not been given up on completely, Kalina did not hide the fact that they are not searching actively for franchise buyers there. Now the company is planning on entering Belarus which is much closer, Verslo Zinios wrote.
